Founding Product Designer - Orienté UX - Freelance

Hybride Paris / remote - 2 jrs / semaine - TJM 500 à 600€

The project

The start-up is building the AI-native orchestration layer for industrial operations.

The initial focus is on order processing across Customer Service and Supply teams - an area that remains largely manual, fragmented across emails, EDI, and customer portals, and deeply inefficient.

Today, companies still process thousands of B2B orders every day, representing millions in value, through sub-optimal workflows. This process is ripe for automation, and is on the verge of a major transformation.

Using AI, they help operational teams collect, understand, and secure customer orders before they reach the ERP. And automate at scale their operations.

Theu just secured a pre-seed round with top-tier VCs and are now entering a critical phase: structuring the go-to-market, accelerating traction, and iterating closely with their first customers.

Missions

This is a deeply UX-driven role.

Users are service reps, supply planners, and procurement teams working inside dense, high-stakes workflows where a missed order or a wrong validation carries real operational cost.
Your job is to understand how these teams actually work and turn genuinely hard, messy processes into experiences that feel obvious.

You'll work as an embedded freelance partner, taking real ownership of the product's core experience alongside the founders and early team.

On a typical day you might:

  • Go deep with operational and industrial teams — sit with customer service, supply, and procurement users to understand their workflows, mental models, and constraints, then translate those insights into product decisions, and into simple, intuitive experiences.

  • Own the full design process - from discovery and problem framing to high-fidelity UI and handoff.

  • Create novel Human-in-the-Loop interactions that let operational teams collaborate seamlessly with AI agents, balancing automation with clarity and trust.

  • Work directly in the codebase to explore ideas fast - vibe-coding screens, prototyping flows, and iterating in real-time with engineers.

  • Collaborate closely with the founders and engineers to build a flexible design system that supports rich AI-native interactions across the product.

  • Prototype to learn — move fast from idea to testable flow, working hand-in-hand with engineers (and our AI tooling) to validate decisions with real users.

What they are looking for ?

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years of product design experience in production environments, ideally at a fast- scaling startup or B2B SaaS company.

  • Proven UX depth on complex workflows — you've designed operational tools, or workflow products where the hard part was the logic and the flow, not just the surface.

  • Comfortable working close to the code - you use AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude Code, v0) to prototype and explore directly in the stack.

  • Familiar with modern design tooling (Figma) but not dependent on it as the only place where design happens.

  • Experience building and maintaining design systems in fast-moving environments.

  • Bonus: Experience designing for operational, industrial, or enterprise users — or a demonstrated ability to learn an unfamiliar, technical domain fast and design for experts within it.

Mindset

  • AI-native: You've shifted how you work thanks to AI tools. You don't just talk about it - you practice it daily.

  • Builder mentality: You ship fast, iterate based on feedback, and don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

  • Product-minded: You think about customer impact and business value, not just visual
    elegance.

  • Systems thinker: You're comfortable holding complex, interconnected workflows in your head and finding the simple path through them.

  • Ownership: You take end-to-end responsibility from initial framing to shipped feature to post-launch iteration.

  • Curious: You're excited to learn a new domain - order management and procurement aren't glamorous, but the problems are genuinely hard and interesting.

  • Collaborative: You work naturally with engineers and non-technical stakeholders, and can bridge business needs and product execution.

Why join the team ?

  • Shape the product & company – Your decisions will define our design language, product direction, and user experience for years to come.

  • High-impact problem – Procurement and sales ops is a massive, underserved market with clear customer pain and willingness to pay.

  • Work with cutting-edge AI – We're pushing the boundaries of what's possible with LLMs and agentic systems in enterprise workflows.

  • Strong VC backing – We're well-funded with runway to execute and scale.
